A how-to/function-specific training for shippers of Lithium Batteries via all modes: highway, rail, air and vessel. This course is designed to guide shippers through the confusing maze of differing Litihum Battery regulations so that they can more easily identify the correct methods to package, mark and label, and complete the required documentation for the package they produce.
How to use the regulations to identify battery types; learn the correct shipping names and UN numbers for each battery; identify how/when to use the small battery exceptions versus when to use fully-regulated packages and markings. Correctly-marked packages for each mode are illustrated in the exclusive TMGI training workbook for learning how to mark and label packages and how to produce the correct shipping papers for each mode. Note: This course is function-specific to the subject of shipping Lithium Batteries only, and is not necessarily designed to cover all aspects of DOT Hazmat training as listed in 172.704. If foundational DOT training is required at your location, please notify TMGI and consult with us to see what solutions may be available in conjunction with, or separate from, this training.
Course Materials Provided:
